The Code Academy Blueprint

Construct Your Own Gaming Universes

A 24-lesson course where students construct four complete games — from dodging falling stars to defending a castle — mastering real programming concepts one universe at a time.

Ages 10–15 24 lessons · 90 min sessions No experience required 4 real games built

The 24-lesson journey

Four games. One growing skill set.

Every module builds on the last — from a simple star-catching rocket to a full castle-defense game and a complete platformer.

LESSONS 1–6

Star Catcher

The foundations: coordinate movement, falling hazards, scoring, and a full game-over sequence.

LESSONS 7–12

Neon Brick Breaker

Paddle physics, ball deflection, brick collision, and a player health economy.

LESSONS 13–18

Castle Defender

Aiming mechanics, cloned projectiles, enemy hordes, and tower-defense logic.

LESSONS 19–24

Platformer Adventure

Gravity, jump mechanics, ground collision, and level hazards — a complete platformer.

Why this course

More than a coding class

☉

Real computational thinking

Every mechanic is a math or logic concept in disguise — taught through something students are genuinely motivated to understand.

✎

A genuine portfolio

Four complete, original games by the end of the course — not worksheets, real projects your child built themselves.

★

Confidence through building

Every session includes guided debugging, so students learn that a bug is a normal, solvable part of building something real.

◆

Four genres, one skill set

Arcade dodging, brick-breaking, tower defense, and platforming — each module teaches new mechanics while reinforcing everything learned before.
